SUNDAY SERVICES

Traditional Service

Our Traditional Service is the more formal of the two services, and as such is held in the Sanctuary of St. John's UMC at 11:00 am. However, it remains uptempo, modern, and interactive in conjunction with its adherence to the traditions of the United Methodist Church.

 Modern Worship Service

Our Modern Worship Service is a welcoming worship environment full of natural lighting and with a live band that plays modern worship and Contemporary Christian Music. This service is held in the Fellowship Hall every Sunday morning at 9:00 am

Wednesday Night Worship

Beginning on Wednesday, October 7, 2015  St. John's will be hosting a half hour multi-generational time of worship Every Wednesday at 6:00 PM  in the Youth Worship Area on the 2nd floor. This brief service will follow our weekly 5:15 dinner in the Social Hall and precede the bible studies, youth group and other small groups taking place on our new Wednesday nights!

St Patrick's Day

St Patrick's Day Parade 2016

For the second year in a row, St. Johns UMC participated in the annual Ocean View St. Patrick's Day Parade. Our goal was to show our community the love and grace of God in a fun and interesting way, and we hoped that the name of Jesus would be spoken throughout the crowd. And how right we were! As we passed out candy, beads and our empty glasses, the name "Jesus" rang out among the spectators. One of our goals at St. John's is to provide a Judgement free place of worship for all who would call on the name Jesus. This influences every action that we take, including how we practice evangelism. Of course, we are not perfect yet. That is why we are glad Jesus was so willing to welcome imperfect people!

Church is more than the walls of a building.

In Matthew 18:20, Jesus says "For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them." (NLT)

Our traditions as Methodists prove that we can have church anywhere, and in fact we are called to go out of our comfort zone and let things get a little weird. Check out some of the pictures below, and then check our social media feeds for the whole experience!
